Hi everyone,

A couple of items about the rest of this week, if you have an on-air shift.

We’re closing the office on Friday, as some employees are taking a vacation
day, while some are out sick.

We’ve been notified that the Williams Hill area where the KNBX transmitter
is located is under a “public safety power shutoff” watch for Friday. If
power is shut off, it could affect us on Friday from 10:30AM – noon. The
forecasted high winds and dry conditions may require power to be shut off
to help prevent a wildfire.

But we are also subject to automatic wildfire shut offs that can happen
without notice and can be triggered by a bird strike or any number of
things.

We’ll send another email if either of these 2 possibilities occurs.

We experienced some issues with the air conditioning system that cools the
control rooms/studios. It’s been resolved for now, but if it’s not cooling,
please let me know via text, email or phone. We’re in the process of
upgrading the system, but we have some older equipment still in service.

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

I hope you have an enjoyable FOURTH!
