Hi everyone! This coming Wednesday, 11/10 is Public Radio Music Day. Anyone
who’s on between now and Wednesday night, will you please promote what
we’re doing? Neal recorded a promo, which I’ll send to remote DJs who have
shows before that day. For anyone in studio between now and then, please
play the recorded promo on the MCR desktop computer. Everyone else, please
participate by sharing on social media why you love public radio music by
using the hashtag #LovePublicRadioMusic and tag KCBX. And please do share
our posts on your social channels.

Public Radio Music Day is a nationwide celebration uniting public radio
music stations, fans, artists, and other music industry members to spread
the word about the special role public radio plays in the music world both
locally and nationally. We’re showcasing how local music stations connect
audiences, artists, and communities, with innovative music discovery
programming and performances across on-air, online, and in-person platforms.

On that day we’re going to feature local musicians on all of our music
shows. Neal is going to play exclusively Central Coast performers on The
Morning Cup. On KCBX In Concert, Craig will dive into the upcoming
performances by several local groups. On Classical Showcase, Rob will
feature a gorgeous guitar concerto by Craig, featuring the SLO Symphony.
And Ron will mix in a whole bunch of Central Coast jazz musicians on The
Cutting Edge.

Francisco has been working hard to gather a bunch of audio drop-ins from
local and national performers, and also some videos from musicians for our
social media.

Thanks all!
