Stolen Ducatis

A friend of mine called me last night to tell me his storage unit was
broken into and all three of his bikes were gone, along with his Snap-on
tools and many spare parts he has collected over the years.

They include a 748R he raced in AMA, a VERY well kitted 916 and an 1198 SP.
I will post post vins and model years if he wants to, because any bit of
info anyone comes up with may be helpful. Neither of us hold out much hope,
as he had not been to the unit in a couple of months and the detective said
they are overwhelmed with this type of break-in right now. Add to that the
holiday weekend and nothing much will get done until later next week. He
settled here about a year ago and went to a dealer just yesterday to buy a
building to put on his property to use as a garage and workshop. He is 66
years old.

A very sad situation. How I hate thieving bastards...

Thanks for listening, folks.

That sux, pics and VIN would help, can post on various groups and hope for
the best. I think you are right about not having much hope, I think the
thieves have many avenues to get rid of those things. One thing to try is
security footage from any buildings or businesses in the area.

Thanks for your help, Paul. I will have vins and pics tomorrow, hopefully.
We spent last night and most of today moving everything that was left to
his home and a horse stable on our property.
