So,    It was apparent he was destroying his tires Sunday past. But he's a disposition, no? Aside from how he's gonna manage Braking the real question seems will he be risking damage to the nerve they were concerned about? One imagined the medics have chimed in. Thing is, & MM is notorious for this, it can get pretty rough out there. His choice but he can't expect any considerations. Does Honda have any say? Has Honda a long term contract with Marquis? Are they obliged to pay if he can't race next year and/or beyond? Could MotoGP prevent Marky from competing, Safety as the rationale, if they see it as against their interest? Does a DORNA official have to sign off so that MM is allowed on track? Funky seems apt for all this.      Phil/NJ

I think he knows by now when to back off due to tire issues. My guess is
rider error.

As for him racing this weekend, I don’t believe it’s a good idea at all,
unless he’s indeed an alien and can heal within a week that would normally
take 12 weeks for an injury like that.

For sure It will be entertaining for me if he comes back right away, but it
will be hell for him if he crashes and really trashes his arm for the rest
of the year or career. I hope it doesn’t happen.

Likewise. MM is way too much fun to watch race to have him not racing, or
seriously compromised.

Every single time they go out they can suffer a career or life ending injury.  Unless this injury puts him in specific danger of crashing again, it won’t matter to him. If that’s not the case, he’ll ride.

Fear of further injury when riding a bike at 200mph is more like fear of stubbing your toe.

And dammit me and LAN agree again, rider error.
