Thank you both Len and Jim. It is not often I see my families mentioned so I really have a party when I see their names.I was aware the Scot's' Church figured in their stories, but I must admit I am having problems sorting them out in this collection. My great-grandparents Robert McElrea and Margaret Forsythe were married in this church in 1865. Margaret was probably born about 1831. Her father was James and he had a brother named Cunningham - they lived in Lislap. James also had a son named Cunningham and a daughter named Catherine. Cunningham the elder had daughters Margaret and Martha. So, I'm wondering about this group of Forsythes - what are the likely relationships - if any suppositions can be made? For instance, a child and parents on the same day? Would there be a minimum age at which this took place? Also, despite a week spent at PRONI and visits to many cemeteries in what should be the Lislap area (despite asking numerous people, no one remembers the wee place), I've only been able to find the grave of my McElrea family at Cappagh. If any one knows where my Forsythes are buried, I would be over the moon to hear from you. There were some Forsythe marriages in another addition recently and I hope they will help fleshing out my modern collateral lines. I am so grateful for your contributions as always. All the best,KathleenNew email address: kaperc@breezedale.net ---- On Fri, 16 Jun 2023 05:30:17 -0700 James McKane via CoTyroneList<cotyronelist@list.cotyroneireland.com> wrote ---- Scots’ Presbyterian Church, Gortin, Lower Badoney Parish, Co.
