Hey all,
Just got a tag for my '95 900SS/SP and have started riding it again. Of
course the brake light stopped working from the front lever only - I'm
thinking bad switch. So I want to remove and replace it.
My problem is that I'm turning the two screws holding the top end of the
switch to the lever housing, but they don't seem to be undoing (!) I'm
turning and turning and those screws are not coming out.
Anybody had this happen or have any ideas for me? I'm perplexed at what the
problem might be.
Thanks,
Dallas
Dallas, there are two small nuts underneath the switch the screws fit into.
By the way, Radio Shack sells those switches: submini 275-016A much cheaper.
I also found an eBay vendor selling even cheaper switches in batches of 10
/20
although I haven't installed one yet. Or, you can go to the dealer and pay
$$ for
a switch with a tiny O-ring.

The above part number is a lever switch. Guess you would have to take the
lever off and hope the plunger is in the right place. I haven't looked at
mine yet..
