hmmm...doesn't sound (NPI) like I would like it.  As odd as it sounds (NPI), I want an exhaust that is no louder than stock but gets rid of the catalytic convertor, maybe give a performance gain, and looks nice.  I think those might be contradictory goals for an exhaust.

For the cold-bloodedness...obviously they're not as cold blooded as a carb bike but they're don't go to an instantaneous start and idle like you expect a FI bike to do.  My bike has caught me out a couple of times on cold mornings with a little hiccup as I started out.  Cold for me here in San Antonio is around 50 degrees.  Like you said, it's fine after a minute.

thanks for sharing your results!  BTW, the official Scrambler forum is a great place for Scrambler information.

Well it is installed and I started the bike up.  It is a lot less loud than
the Dan Moto but it is not what I would call quiet.  Where the Dan Moto
sounded like a Harley with drag pipes it is more like a Chevy V8 with glass
packs.  I will ride it tomorrow when it stops raining and report back.

It is a lot smaller than I thought from the photos.  The case of the
muffler is about 6.5 inches long and if you count the end cap and the
tapered front it is maybe 8 inches total.  About a 2.5 inch diameter at the
pipe and a little more then 3 at the open end.  Looks great I just hope it
is enough to allow me to ride comfortably.  The Dan Moto was too loud even
at idle but this one is fine at idle.

On a separate note I have never ridding the bike without a modified exhaust
so I am wondering is it common for a Scrambler to be cold blooded and need
about a minute or two of warm up to take throttle inputs without stumbling?

The Zard, with the DB killer in, is not that much louder than stock. You
can have a conversation while the bike is running without having to yell.
Take the DB killer out and it's really loud. Louder than the ST4s with the
DP slip-ons.

My Scrambler not a Sled though. I don't know what's available for that
model.

The scramblerforum.com site is a good resource.

Exhausts for the Sled and Scrambler are almost all interchangeable.  The Sled has a Termi option that I don't believe will fit on other Scramblers.
