Like a number of listers I enjoy flat track racing and most Saturdays in
June and July I can be found here[

The track is about 15 miles from my place.The first two events were rained
out but tonight the weather is perfect and the national series, Flat Track
Canada (FTC), is hosting the event.

I'm heading out to the track now but if you have nothing to do @ 6:30
p.m.e.s.t you can stream the races here.

Well, there's a coincidence. I grew up in Welland and my dad took me out to
see dirt track racing at the Welland County Speedway a few times as a kid.
I remember the smell of fuel and exhaust and the noise, and being blown away
by the speedway bikes. It was the first time I swore out loud in front of
my father - when the first wave of the first race revved up and took off
screaming I also screamed out 'holy shit!!!' without even realizing it.
Indelible imprints. Got my first mini bike a year later and (Ducati
content) my first Ducati about 20-odd years after that.

I watch all the AFT races I don't go to on Fans Choice, it's great! I can't count the number of times I was on a trip and watched the races on my laptop at the hotel bar or in front of the hotel on a bench with a cigar and bourbon. - Gene
