Hey all,
Sorry for the spoiler but I just can’t help it. Watching Nicky win Laguna AGAIN is super special. Calm and methodical for a dominant win.
I could be wrong but with the shit season Rossi is having, we could possibly see Nicky win a championship this year (2006)! Wouldn’t that be incredible!?!?

Okay, what ever happened to our agreed to Spoiler alert rules?
Pags has obviously disregarded them, by putting the Spoiler directly
behind the alert, so the Spoiler can't be avoided. Now, the race has been
spoiled for me; there is absolutely no point in watching. Nevermind that I
was actually there - I believe it was the first year I volunteered for
Ducati, and my first year at Hill House. But, nevermind all that. Nevermind
the thrill of watching a certain boy from Owensboro ride like the champ he
was, of watching The Doctor falter,.... well,... on second thought,.......
Sorry, have to go, Laguna Seca is about to start. GO NICKY!!!

Shame he ruined it for so many……you’d think that with his divine powers to be able to convince organizers to have two Motogp races on consecutive days, in DIFFERENT COUNTRIES, week after week so he and I can watch them together (with proper 112 mile social distancing), he wouldn’t feel it necessary to mess with us like this and keep spoiling things. Boyz will be boyz, I guess. You sparked two ancient memories, Kevin. One-my one and only visit to Hill House was 2006, and although I didn’t bunk there, I drank excellent local brew from I believe one of our listers, or was it possibly a lister’s son…? Also, that was where I met you, Vicki, Peter Bon and George Betz. A Kodak evening for me, one of my fondest memories from being at Laguna that year. The other was a spoiler memory. I was racing at Mosport the year before, in 2005, and whilst walking through the pits afterward, some knucklehead announced that Nicky had won Laguna over the PA. What a dick. Wait a minute……..Pags, were you in the booth at Mosport in 2005…? I KNEW it!!!!!!!

Steve,
The brewers were Alec Moss, former Master Brewer at Half Moon Bay Brewery;
and Aaron Bonner, Master Brewer in his own right, and also son of Peter
Bonner (too many stories attached to that name to start here). They both
went well above and beyond the call in providing delicious brews (including
one of he best carbonated non-alcoholic fruit drinks I've ever tasted,
courtesy of Aaron). I don't know what it was like years before (George
would know about the early days of Hill House), but that year and the next
few were magic for me. The years I organized Hill House were such a treat.
As much work and PITA as organizing it were, it was all good; and everyone
who was in any way connected to either Hill House or Ducati Island, was
good people (singular verb, plural noun? Whatever).

That was such a fun weekend for Jenn and me. I don't remember where we
stayed that year, but it was great all the same.
Our first couple of years together in the 90s, we camped on the hillside
with the rest of the lunatics. In those days the parking on Ducati Island
was first come, first served. Ahhh.....memories.

Wowowowowowowowow!!!!!!! Thank you, George!!!! These are so amazing to me! I need exclamation points after every sentence……. Some big names out there that night. There are a few pics that captured my mates who came along with me that night, and one nice shot of me with the white Gia Co Moto shirt (won at a bash that Vicki was involved with outside of Daytona one year many moons ago.) I'm talking to a red sweatshirted, blue floppy hatted curmudgeon who I think is Kevin…..??
We’re doing the PA house weekend quarantine escaping from Jersey for a few days. I’ve been indulging this morning in watching on bike videos from my road racing days as well as the Epicuador Freedom Bike trip in 2017 with Pags and our other buddy, and this stuff from Lagooner is just icing on my Sunday morning cake. I can’t tell you how many pleasure buttons these pics pushed for me. Thanks so much.

Yes, that is Kevin.
I think I will post these up on Faceplant and spread the quarantine cheer.
I have got shots from other years including all of the Indy parties. It
might be a nice diversion.
