So, Alvaro was fastest but didn't Q. Davies was himself, the Crutchlow of WSBK racing. One is left with a few questions though. Why hasn't the FIM docked Kawi 250 RPM a'la Ducati? Was Rea sand-bagging, losing by a greater margin than competition would have allowed, early in the season? I'd guess he was trying to prompt some Ducati penalty. As an SBK racing fan I'd like the Borgo Panigale contingent to allocate more of the racing budget to WSBK. I'm just convinced win on Sunday, sell on Monday applies here. I do like the fact that they haven’t won on the Panigale in WSBK so they introduced a whole new bike/motor and still call it the Panigale (albeit V4).
