Empathy is usually what your list members will see the most. Do you have
empathy (which archives your conversations) pulled up so you can see the
threads?
You can click on "view all threads" to see the different threads. You
can also easily navigate to view the different lists.
You reply in empathy directly to the thread as well, fyi. A strength of
my Empathy is that is searches the threads very easily, however this
feature won't probably
work correctly on the test list.
You will use affinity for the admin side of things. The moderator or
owner can better manage the member list and their permissions, etc, etc.
On Affinity, you can see who the list members, non members, moderators
and list owners are. Those options can be customized as well. So, if you
select that
a member needs to be moderated before the message posts, it will go to
the moderation que and you can set your preferences there.
This helps a lot. So far, it’s pretty intuitive and I’m starting to compile a list of questions now that I have access.
Thank you again.

Sounds good, if you used mailman 2 in the past then this (especially the
archiving function) is far more user friendly

Yes, I’ve been managing our Mailman 2 server for the past 3 months and cleaning up old lists that are now invalid so it’s been baptism by fire. Our old admin left the company over 3 years ago and nobody even realized he had built and deployed it to production till we started getting requests to decom the server.
