Farewell Alexa, welcome Nico
Hi all!
Our fabulous weekend host (and Morning Edition sub) Alexa Kushner had to
move back to LA, and we’ll miss hearing her on our airwaves. She will
continue to compile our on air Community Calendar, though. She also has
agreed to take over the Programming Update from Katelyn sometime soon. So,
I’m very glad she’ll still be a part of the KCBX family from a distance.
You’ll be hearing a new voice regularly on the weekends, and he’s already
training to do our other staff shifts, too. Please welcome Nico Viñuela!
Nico is a Cal Poly Journalism graduate. He already has done some reporting
for us about the Kristin Smart trial, and will likely do more work for our
newsroom, along with his on air shifts. Nico is truly a welcome addition to
our team.
