Alice’s Restaurant?

For you SFO area owners, last month, I went to visit my aging mother in Belmont, CA.
Since I stay in Monterey, I take coast highway up and back, using 92 across.

But 92 into Half Moon Bay was slammed so I took 35 down across the hills through La Honda and over, instead.
And I thought it might be a nice time to stop at Alice’s Restaurant, for nostalgic reasons.
However, I did not stop.
It was filled with mostly bicycle riders…on a Saturday.
It used to be moto-heaven there..similar to The Rock Store and Newcomb’s Ranch down south

Is that the norm as of late… bicycles?
Peer… or others?

I spent some years visiting that area and the highlight was riding La Honda
to Half Moon Bay and a stop at Alices. It was always a motorcycle haven,
this was around 2001-2005. I look forward to returning!

Saturday or Sunday and at what time?  When it's cold out, pine needles in
the middle of the tighter roads scare peeps, and also it can be very time
sensitive.

Rain also scares a lot of people, since the shaded areas tend to remain wet
for days.

All excuses, it's one of my favorite times to ride the hills, as it's
emptier and with less cops too. Summer can also have idiots in fast cars
who park at the apex  and also you'll see HD and BMW tour guides with 15+
riders groups (mobile chicanes).

AND Yes, too many road byciclist in the Bay Area, but that's everywhere.
It's a plague.

If I recall, it was later in the day.. certainly afternoon.
And, yeah, wet roads. The storms were just starting to roll in
I pedal as well, but I’m not insisting on having the whole lane.
Legally, I’m probably in the right, but add physics and it’s just stupid.
