I got this unsolicited email and replied that I did not have a bevel any
longer.  He came back and asked me to share it.  With the warning that I
know nothing about the individual or his product I am going to post it
here. Maybe someone is familiar with him or the product and can comment.

Hallo,

I am currently rebuilding my 1975 860 GTS.

There are no repros of the printed original 0,5
mm-aluminium-dashboard-plate (see added photo) around, just stickers.

I have carefully measured the plate, checked the letter-types and made a
drawing for a reproduction.

(for the image I add a slightly "false" drawing of the plate, since I do
not want my drawing as a template for free).

To reproduce just two of them makes no sense.

I have two types: one with the horn-switch (CITY / COUNTRY) and one
without for the later models.

My question: if you are interested, please just tell me how many plates
you think you will possibly need.

I also built LED-boards for the 860 in an improved way. They differ from
the original "Aprilia"-part no. 17233 in some ways but can also be used as
a "plug-and-play" replacement (pictures and my wiring-plan added). Since I
build them completely on my own (design, printing, etching, boring,
soldering and clear-painting against shorts) they are really expensive:
190€ each (+VAT and shipping). They come with Ducati-color-coded wires in
over-length completely with the right 0,062"-Molex-plug plus the
appropriate connector-pins. The only thing to do is cutting the wires,
putting an insulating tube over it and crimp the connectors to the wires.
Are you interested in these boards?

Currently I am rebuilding the LC-circuit of the horn-crossover-unit
located in the headlamp-shell which consist of a coil and a capacitor to
as-close-as-to original specs. Since the original part is tuned to the
original voxbell-horn, I will build the repro in a way that it can be tuned
to aftermarket-horns by modifying the core of the coil for a higher or
lower inductivity while retaining the same resistance. I add a photo of the
original part, are you interested?

(I am no dealer, and back in 1981 my first motorcycle was a Ducati 350
single. These Bevels caught me til today....)

Best wishes

Sebastian
