I know the price is nuts.
Term is, rear sets, converted to mono, all keys & books, race ECU, power commander, some CF.

I have a friend who has the S version and used it for a track day bike for
years and never had any serious issues.  Only problems I am aware of are
the coils, which were changed in later year models. Some tend to blow some
oil out the breather.  That was why they went to the deep sump in 2005.

If you like the style, I do some don't, and it runs well I think it is a
great deal.

Thanks gents!
I'm OK with the style (don't love it...don't hate it) and I'll check with my mechanic today on what they've seen.
A buddy of mine had an 999R and he said after he got the suspension and seating position set up it was the most comfortable sport bike he ever road.
IIRC the mags gave the 99s great reviews on handling.

I figure it could be a good everyday superbike.

I would say it is better than most superbikes in comfort but still not that
comfortable.  A Sargent seat and a set of bar risers that add about an inch
go a long way but it was still not an all day bike.  I rode a friends KTM
RC8R and that would be fine for all day.  I sold my 749R and recently
bought the new Supersport S.  Now that is an all day bike.  Panigale look
without the Panigale pain.
