In reality yes.
Don’t think Karel or syara ,etc. were riding for the win. They were riding
for points. Look at Dovi-he Just rode smart and collected points and now
he’s leading the championship!
VR needs every point at this stage. He can no longer win and Thats the sad
reality. He cannot beat Marc Marquez anymore, unless if he crashes; The boy
has evolved.
The more consistent points he earns , the more chance he’s got for his
10th win.
20pts is better than 0pts. If he really gave it a go and sacrificed 25pts
for 5pts, then why didn’t he pounce right back, but rather gave Rins 4 laps
to get away! (IIRC)
Bet he learned from his past mistake when he tried to Beat Viñales for the
win, but ended up eating the dirt, instead of bagging 20pts.

I'd argue VR rode smart. He gave it a go on the last lap, but didn't have
what he needed.
By your logic, everyone who finished behind Rins was just riding for
points. No shame in finishing a race, and certainly no shame in finishing
2nd.
And while MM93 is certainly the class of the field, I don't think he's
going to win every race for the rest of the season. That would be insane.
In the championship, who knows, anything can happen in racing...

VR rode on the safe side for points. Rins got plenty to prove— Win it or
bin it.
A bit disappointed for VR. Once MM is back, no more winning for anyone
again. Only one who can beat MM is MM. maybe Dovi due to HP. But I think
that’s the last. I believe Honda caught up in the HP dept.

MM93 might be unbeatable in the long run, but sure as shit Rossi has shown
the world that he is STILL among the few that have a chance. If that's a
"sad reality" I wish we could all be that sad.

Oh VR is still up there for sure and a 10th win would be awesome.
I wish he hadn’t wasted his time at Ducati. But he said it wasn’t a
mistake. The mistake was in 2006.
He also said that he is sad because of his age for the sport. I am a little
sad as well because he will not be there when he retires.
He will be will be with his ‘banging’ girlfriend making babies. Win-Win
for him.
