Hi all! Please join me in welcoming Andrew Cannon to KCBX as our new weekend/sub announcer. Andrew is a longtime radio guy who has worked in markets all over the nation in many formats, but this is his first foray into public radio. He moved out to the Central Coast in 2012, worked for El Dorado Broadcasting and Dimes Media, and then opened his own business doing voice tracking for stations all over the nation. He’ll continue his business, but he misses live radio, so we’re happy to provide a place for him to do that! Andrew started training with Brad on middays today, and you’ll likely hear him on the air tomorrow – then he’ll make his rounds training on All Things Considered, the weekend and finally Morning Edition. He’ll sub on all of those shifts, so you’ll hear him on occasion no matter when you listen during our network shows. Welcome Andrew!
