Thanks for that Rob. The Failte Romhat Flax Growers List was offline for some time and I thought it may have gone permanently or at best undergoing some editing. Researchers should be aware of numerous problems with spelling of surnames perhaps the result of phonetic spelling or error. Some examples I have located in my own personal research are: Cimpion=SIMPSON (Clonfeacle parish) Havana =CAVANAGH/ KAVANAGH/ HAVERAN? (Drumglass parish) Rilchey=RITCHEY (Clogher parish) Rolinson=ROBINSON (Ardstraw parish) Rive=RICE (Cappagh parish) Chism=CHISHOLM (Camus, Donagheady & Urney parishes) TERESA YOUNDERMAN – she is not recorded anywhere on the original (1796) Ardstraw list And astonishingly, ROCKFORD Q. BALBOACONSTRICTOR is recorded in Drumholm parish, Co.
