Is it somewhat telling that 93 only went out once, late, during Q? He's usually pretty great at Hole Shots too & that may not happen for a few meetings neither. Just guessing, and this is totally against his nature, but I expect a conservative pace & race from MM. Top 10 would be the goal along with no dicing and zero get offs. It'll be great for Ducati if Zarc, Miller & Bagnia finish ahead of the aforementioned Honder. Overall a pretty tight bunching, lap time wise, for the field. Go Joe & Cam!!!    Phil/NJ

I'll be happy if he maintains a constant race pace and finish the race.

Gutted for Pecco.  Shouldn't the yellow flag/led light that counts be on
the inside of the next corner, because the riders will always be focused on
the apex? That yellow on the right would be for the rider exiting the
precious corner...

Asaik those yellow lights are wireless leds and should be pretty
inexpensive to pepper them throughout the circuit.

I was thinking the same thing regarding Pecco. Sucks to give up that lap,
except if he had heeded the yellow, he would not have had the timing he
did. And, at least he now knows he's got that kind of lap in him. If he can
get a decent start to avoid burning up tires to catch up, he could be in
the fight. His pace in FP3 was up there with Quartararo and Morbidelli.
Could he get up to P5 or P6 by T1?
About the placement of the yellow flag, I was also thinking that the
outside of the bend is not where my attention would be, but,... I looked at
the video and the track map; Pecco should have seen the flag - I'm guessing
it was pretty  much in line with the turn-in reference point for T9. And,
it's the rider's responsibility to note and heed the flags.
Marquez, on the other hand,... who knows? Only he knows, maybe. Seems real
happy. Maybe that's just because he's back on the track again, and maybe
that's because he's not playing all his cards yet. From the way he shook
his right hand while riding, and massaged his forearm against the chair arm
in the pit, I'd venture that the arm is not up to strength yet, and it may
affect his race. Of course, I'm usually wrong about this sort of thing when
it comes to MM.
Let's hope some bizarre turn of events don't spoil what could be another
edge of the seat race.
