Hi all, We’re starting our pledge drive pitching tomorrow. We’ll do pledge drive like we did during the pandemic, with short scripts every break, but no 5-minute pitching and no volunteer phone bank. Please give some kind of pitch every break until we’re done (probably for three weeks). You can read a script, play a recorded spot, or speak from the heart, using the scripts for inspiration (this usually is the most effective). Music hosts, please use the music scripts attached, and also the recorded spots from Neal and Janelle attached. Staff hosts, you’ll find a bunch of pitch scripts on cards in the MCR. Please rotate through them. You’ll also find a Fall Pledge Drive folder on the MCR desktop. Please use the recorded spots in there. More are coming. Hi all, I just want to tag onto Marisa's email. Our goal for this pledge drive is $200,000. To date, we've received about $80,000 and our challenge fund is growing, meaning we'll be running some on-air challenges soon. Since we haven't been having our traditional "Pledge Central" drives with our full cast of regulars and volunteers, we've noticed a dip in the number of new members donating. It's therefore imperative that you all focus your off-script pitches to encourage your listeners to become new members of KCBX. A majority of the scripted spots have new member language in them. Always check the thermometer at KCBX.org for our progress. We're hoping to reach our goal on or before September 16th. Let me know if you have any questions and have fun.
