Have you tried to enter a song on the playlist lately and it doesn't show
up? I know that happens sometimes on obscure titles and local artists. But
this would be for things you would expect to be in there.
Well, you are not alone. Apparently, something is wonky with the system,
and not on our end. We have let the Composer people know. They will look
into it at some point. For now, there are two workarounds. Here is what the
representative from Composer said;
"My suggested work around: Manually add the song with the "Can't find your
song? Add Song" link under the search window. I used Spotify to look the
song up and get the duration. A better suggestion, so you don't have to
rebuild ALL the metadata to show in your player and on the playlist, is you
can search for the album and pick a different song off the album. At the
far right on the song's row there is a pencil icon. Hit the pencil, change
the name and the duration. All the other metadata for the song is pulled in,
so you get the album cover, the label, etc. If you have a physical CD
handy, or search Wikipedia for the track listing, you will get the piece of
missing info - the duration.."
I have been choosing the entire album, picking a different track from it,
hitting enter, and then editing the title and time. You can do either one
that works for you. Sorry for the hassle. The people that can fix it know
about it.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Neal

I count on that happening with each show I put in. So often so that I’ve
started entering the artist and album - instead of the song - to see what
songs get returned for that album. Regularly most songs from an album are
shown but not the one I’m playing. Spooky - nightmarish - macabre…

I pray every day that in the next life there are just the blues, pudding cups, and no one has ever heard of Composer.
It’s like doing a radio show powered with DOGE technology.
Seriously been hating on Composer for the past 18 years.

Happens once or twice every show for as long as I've been doing this.
In other news. The database response is much better at Composer than the one at Spotify. Do a search of a song title on Spotify and you'll get a result typically of 3 or 4 artists who have recorded/covered a song. If I want to have a clue about possibly many many artists who have recorded that particular song, I go to Composer. Then when I see an artist I want in the result, I go back to Spotify and re-enter the title and the artist's name that I want. Presto, there it is. Easy (not.)

different problem. I’ll ask Greg to investigate it. He will likely need
more details from you. Has anyone else had this issue?

Well, you are not alone. Apparently, something is wonky with the system,
and not on our end. We have let the Composer people know. They will look
into it at some point. For now, there are two workarounds. Here is what the
representative from Composer said;
"My suggested work around: Manually add the song with the "Can't find your
Thanks,
Neal

Oh, good to know, Jim. Thanks for letting us know. I believe this is a
different problem. I’ll ask Greg to investigate it. He will likely need
more details from you. Has anyone else had this issue?
Thanks,
Marisa

I did my whole playlist last week and then it disappeared and I had to do
all over again. I know it wasn't just me because when I did it again there
was a bar coming up with the stuff I had already entered.

In other news. The database response is much better at Composer than the
one at Spotify. Do a search of a song title on Spotify and you'll get a
result typically of 3 or 4 artists who have recorded/covered a song. If I
want to have a clue about possibly many many artists who have recorded that
particular song, I go to Composer. Then when I see an artist I want in the
result, I go back to Spotify and re-enter the title and the artist's name
that I want. Presto, there it is. Easy (not.)

Hi Marisa-
It never happened to me, but I was digging Cat's Citizen Sound Show one
night, and when I went to look at the playlist the next day, the playlist
cut off after the first couple of songs....That makes me believe it may
have happened to her as well. This was about a month ago.
Cheers,
