Hello, all! We’d love some help with our big KCBX 50th anniversary party on July 26th at the Octagon Barn in San Luis Obispo. Even if you can’t help, we hope you'll be able to join us! Read on for details. The daytime celebration is free and open to the public, with live music from Graybill and the SLO County Stumblers. There will be a trivia contest, KCBX memorabilia, a recording booth for our listeners to voice testimonials, and food and drink available for purchase. We'll also be honoring KCBX and its founders and volunteers. The daytime part of the event runs from 11 am to 4 pm. There will be a ticketed evening performance with the Damon Castillo Band in the main Octagon Barn beginning at 7 pm. Would you like to help out? We're looking for a half-dozen volunteers to help with set-up, merchandise sales, trivia contest helpers, ticket-takers, and more.
