Opinion on box seats Austin

Hey gang, I’m considering buying box seats this year.
Let me preface by saying, I have never done anything like this before.

Is it worth it?

I love hanging out at the tent, riding my bike in, talking to miss Vicki
and meeting some of you folks.

It’s such big part of the weekend for us, I really don’t wanna give it up
but the baby is a little too young to hang outside all day. (So I’ve been
told)

What would you guys do?!!!

In my opinion the biggest downside is not being able to ride in and park on the island. Other than that, as a Ducati owner, much of the other benefits are still available to you. But the island parking pass, that’s not available any other way.

I only have one little tidbit to offer.  Last year my buddy had box seats and he walked me up there so I could check it out.  Beware.... it is LOUD walking in the corridors.  Wrap your baby's head in a big blanket or something.

Good Morning Ducatistas

Paulo, I’ve attended MotoGP at Austin for the past 5 years. My personal opinion it might be a  waste of money to get a box. Although I haven’t experienced myself.

My personal opinion, Every year while at the track I tend to shop, walk, visit all vendors, Ducati Island, Say Hi to Vicki and do more walking.  I don’t park myself in one spot until Sunday afternoon only for the main race.

I Definitely encourage for GA tickets and Paddock passes. Don’t know if is too late to find paddock passes thou.

Have fun!

Cynthia

Hey, Paulo. Yes, not an easy call. This will be my 5th CoTA MotoGP and we had a box (vip lounge) the first two years. I found it too easy to cocoon yourself and get detached from the real action. The straight is loud, but you can go inside. But then you end up watching it all on a video screen. It was a great experience and the value was ok if you eat and drink a lot and like to hang out in one place.I'm sitting at Turn 15 grandstand again this year.Sean

The box seats are LOUD but, the bikes are going stupid fast!!
If I were bringing an infant, my son spent two days on my back in a backpack rig when he was 2 at Laguna Seca in 1996, I'd opt for ear protection, and one of those big wheeled wagons you could put a cover over.
