Hi all! I’ve been hearing references lately to “North County” and “South
County.” Anytime we refer to the north or south part of a county – whether
in news stories, in talk shows, or when we’re mentioning a concert on a
music show, we need to say which county, since we serve three.
For example, if I mention a musician on my show who has a lot of shows
coming up in Paso Robles, Atascadero, Templeton and San Miguel, instead of
saying, “Mark Adams has several shows coming up this month in North
County,” I should say, “…in North SLO County.”
Thanks!
Marisa
