Hey all,
I know at least Gene Hunt went to Daytona….again.

I saw results…so I know it took place and ended.
Did anyone have thoughts or reports?
Or..not much to talk about?

Gene usually writes up a nice one...or, maybe I missed it, since I’m in Digest mode.

Posted on FB each day, still have to post the last day. Most rain I've experienced in any bike week, only 1 flat track race happened, the other got cancelled due to rain. I enjoyed watching the 200 even though the Duc had issues, at the end I was rooting for the old guy. Still don't know what to make of the baggers race. Since I spent all week on my Victory Cross Country riding around there isn't any Ducati content to post here. - Gene

I just watched the Supertwins races - holy moley those were dramatic! I've
never seen a bike bounce off the wall, two wheels off the ground, carom
down the slope into two other bikes and still make the pass!

I watched it online. The Ducati seemed to have the deal handled until it
ran out of gas and had trouble restarting after it limped back into the
pits. The bike and rider seemed poised to win it, led a ton of laps and
could manage all comers so this should be an interesting season for
Ducati and Josh Herrin.

Those were the races to watch for sure!! Good friend of mine is Teagg's
dad, super guy and fast in his own right. LRRS racer for years, last bike
was a CF framed 916 chassis with a DS air-cooled motor in it and carbon
wheels. He bought/sold cars and bikes forever and always found crazy bikes!
Been really nice seeing his progress as well as some of the other LRRS
alumns like Gloddy.

Clearly Twins Cup given the description of Maz’s wall ride. Kid is unbelievably talented and lucky. I’ve been racing with him since he was 10 or so. Same with Gus Rodio who had an off weekend due to some electronic issues. Expect to see him near the front too soon enough.

Teagg and Gloddy are going to be strong all year, but Ben seems to be a bad luck magnet. I’ve raced minis with both. Good kids. Teagg has really grown a bit in the past few years so he’s giving up some weight advantage for sure.

That class is stacked with young talent for sure.
