Jumped in the plane/time travel machine and went to Japan 2006 this AM with STeve.

Unfortunately STeve jumped the start and needed a ride through penalty.  Other than that a mostly uneventful race as we build toward the finale.  Rossi is on form for sure and Hayden is having his championship lead disappear by chunks at this point. Hayden really needs to push toward the front. 5ths and 6ths aren’t gonna cut it when Rossi is riding so well.

Too bad Loris has had some bad luck. He’s really crazy fast on that Ducati and when he’s out front he dominates.

Stoner crashed out again. That kid shows signs of brilliance but he punishes tires. If he gets his shit together he could be something special down the road.

A little trouble with customs, but I was able to make the race. Not a lot
of competition, but some good riding. Glad Nicky was able to rescue some
points after a bad start.  Maybe I'll get out the solo seat cowl that has
Loris' signature on it (and Nicky, and Casey).
This race doesn't quite qualify, but I am wondering: when does a race
become so much a procession that it is not longer a race buy a time trial?
Portugal next, correct? Go Nicky

Indeed, Portugal next.  I hear it's lovely this time of year.

I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to be in Portugal when I'm racing in
Summit Point myself this weekend.  It's possible they're converting
Portugal to a night race, but for spectators only (or some other silliness

I just checked the map, and indeed it is!  Which means a lot of logistics
have to happen for me to get my bike/gear there.  Shit, I just realized I
signed up for the Moto3 class too.  Didn't realize CCS and Dorna were
collaborating now!  I better pick up the speed I guess huh?

I'll be one of the few folks on a 2 stroke there, riding my RS125 in Moto3
and F40 Lights (where the HP of SV650's kills me with the long straight).
You can't miss the bike for sure - #989 with yellow plates and
fluorescent wheels (Yes, after a long hiatus, I was demoted back to Amateur
status!).  Here's a pic of the bike as it sits currently:

If you stop by, I'll even give you an elbow bump!

Indeed, Portugal next.  I hear it's lovely this time of year.

I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to be in Portugal when I'm racing in
Summit Point myself this weekend.  It's possible they're converting
Portugal to a night race, but for spectators only (or some other silliness

Rossi is on form for sure and Hayden is having his championship lead
disappear by chunks at this point. Hayden really needs to push toward

the

front. 5ths and 6ths aren’t gonna cut it when Rossi is riding so well.

Too bad Loris has had some bad luck. He’s really crazy fast on that

Ducati

and when he’s out front he dominates.

Stoner crashed out again. That kid shows signs of brilliance but he
punishes tires. If he gets his shit together he could be something

special

down the road.

I'll be one of the few folks on a 2 stroke there, riding my RS125 in Moto3 and F40 Lights (where the HP of SV650's kills me with the long straight). You can't miss the bike for sure - #989 with yellow plates and fluorescent wheels (Yes, after a long hiatus, I was demoted back to Amateur status!). Here's a pic of the bike as it sits currently: https://photos.app.goo.gl/TcAwaA38K3T4KgZM8 If you stop by, I'll even give you an elbow bump! Go!
We'll be cheering for ya, Pags.

My logistical challenge will be the time travel. I am meeting with Maria
Herrera's MotoE team that morning, trying to be her regular umbrella boy. I
may be old and a bit flabby, but am quite charming and can add a
distinguished air to the starting grid. I clean up nice, as they say.

I was trying to pay homage to you. I would never steal your tag line.
Besides, mine would be something like "just enough fear"
