Post-pledge drive scripts to read

Hi everyone!

I’d like to echo Chris’ thanks for helping us achieve a remarkable pledge
drive. Thank you for keeping up the messaging for the last couple of weeks,
speaking from the heart to our listeners, and for all of your excellent
programming.

We ended our on-air pitching at noon today, and the total then was
$212,912! That number continues to grow, which is important because of the
$420,000 gap we must close going forward each year, due to the rescission
of federal funds. As Chris says, the pledge drive was a sprint, and now
we’re in a marathon.

Please read the scripts below (and attached) once per hour during your
shifts over the next week. These are also printed out in each studio.

Feel free to riff on these/put them in your own words, so they feel more
natural to your speaking style. We’d like to emphasize the :30 version over
the other two.

In addition, Frank recorded a thank you spot, which is on the MCR computer
desktop. Please rotate that in amongst your script reads.
