[ONAIR] Software on HP Computer in the Control Room

Hi Everyone,
This is a reminder of a long-standing policy to please NOT install any
software on the desktop computer in the Master Control Room (the PC to the
left-hand side of the console, where you probably enter your playlists).
It's starting to show its age, and we'd like to squeeze as much life out of
it as possible.  In addition to running Composer during live music shows,
it's also used extensively for our local newscasts, as well as by the
morning and afternoon hosts to gather weather, play audio clips, promos,
etc.

If you want to look something up on a website, or check your email, that's
fine.  I'm talking about installing additional software or apps (like
Twitter or Spotify).  These tend to slow everything down.

If you want to play music from an external source (something other than a
CD or LP), then please use your own device (iPad, phone, laptop, etc.) and
plug it into the AUX port on the rear Turntable (talk to me, if you need
help setting that up.)

Thanks and let me know if you have any questions!

Hank
