Hello all,
Thanks for all of the hard work on your shows, keeping them chugging along
and high quality in what can politely be called...weird times. Also, thanks
again for all of the pitching you did during our spring pledge drive, and
for plugging Live Oak and playing the music that will be on our stages in
June. I’ve heard a lot of people doing that lately.
I just wanted to throw out a few quick reminders:
*The legal ID is always, and only:
"KCBX HD1 San Luis Obispo, KNBX HD1 San Ardo and KSBX Santa Barbara." You
can say other things on either side of that, but those words have to be
read just like that. No modifiers. No "KCBX HD1 in San Luis Obispo" etc.
It has to be said that way at the top of each hour. Use the other approved
IDs for other times and only do the legal at the top of the hour.
*No directional language. You are where they are. You are with them. No, "
Down in Santa Barbara" or "Up in Paso" etc.
For instance, try "There is a great show at SoHo in Santa Barbara" or "I
heard from Juan in Atascadero tonight," etc.
I've heard all of these things lately from a few DJs so I thought it was
time for a reminder.
Thanks,
Neal
Such valuable pointers, Neal, thanks!
