Hi all,
The House voted to pass the rescission bill, but now it has to go to the
Senate, so here's updated language for the announcement you've been
reading. Please read this once per hour until further notice:

At the request of the president, the House of Representatives just voted in
favor of rescinding already-allocated federal funding for public media. The
rescission must also pass the Senate with a simple majority of 50 votes. That
means we have one last chance to protect this funding, which enables KCBX
to bring you the high level of news, information, and music programming
you count on. The Senate vote could happen this coming week, so time is of
the essence. Please call your senators and ask them to fight for public
media. Learn how you can help at KCBX dot org.
Thank you!

Hi again,
I just spoke with Frank, and he indicated he'd like to tweak the wording a
bit. Please use this language instead, until further notice:

Hi again, again, :)
We learned that the Senate will not be voting until after the July 4th
holiday. Please hold off reading this announcement for the time being.
We're going to use the next few days to come up with some fresh
announcements and actions for our listeners.
Thanks for all you were doing in the lead up to the House vote -- it
narrowly passed by just two votes. There is still hope in the Senate.
