I Guess,    That the fates will allow a Champ who best adapts yet I wonder, do these 2020 tires favor some Bikes over others? This is one of the lesser aspects of Spec tires, no? If Pirelli or Dunlop or Bridgestone were competing against Bibendum things would be radically different. I'm old so maybe I'm forgetting the negative issues (Less $s for DORNA?) of tire wars but really DORNA outta demand some variety from the supplier. B-Stone seemed, 'cept for that one annum with Stoner, to screw Ducati as much as they could insofar as tire performance Characteristics. Why can't Dovi get a '19 version?    Phil/NJ

I read an interesting perspective on tires and the scheduling/delays of rounds has caused a ton of havoc on the tire supplies for various rounds. So the tires meant for a particular circuit might no longer work because of the time of year that circuit is now scheduled.

Regardless, you have to race and the conditions are part of it at every level.

I'm going to repeat an earlier comment that is more appropriate to this
thread. Let's have tires made with less precision. So, instead of a tire
designed to give incredible traction on surface A, in the sun, with an air
temperature of 32 degrees centigrade, a track temperature of 52 degrees
centigrade and a wind of 12 knots, only; let's have a tire designed to only
give very good traction on surfaces A,B, C and D at air temperatures
anywhere between 28 and 40, sun or shade, wind or not. Oh, yeah, and for
Ducati, Honda, Suzuki, KTM, Aprilia, etc.

I understand the principle, however the tyres permitted in F1 are
designated at each race, there are no asymmetrical tires and you don’t know
the tires the whole year in advance

That way the whole field runs on virtually the same tire with few exceptions

In MotoGP you can easily have 10+ variants of tire in the race
