Hi all! KCBX is co-sponsoring an outdoor concert series at Hubba Wines in
Tin City (Paso Robles). Please mention the concerts that fit your show.
It’s going to be every Friday starting at 5pm, as long as the weather is
good. There will be performers from a variety of KCBX-friendly musical
genres each month. The April poster is attached, with details. Here’s this
month’s schedule:
4/8 SLO County Stumblers (old time string band)
4/15 The Charities (soul, R&B and funk)
4/22 Dante Marsh & Jon Millsap (soulful funk)
4/29 The Turkey Buzzards (Americana, folk, country)
Thanks!
Marisa

Hi everyone,
Here are the pdf's of the monthly calendar (poster and flier sizing). Let
me know if there is anything you would like to change. We can drop some
hard copies off at your location asap if you can let me know the address
please. Can't wait for the 8th!
Thanks so much,
Riley

Thanks, both! That kind of co-sponsorship is easy on our end. Thank you for
thinking of us as a sponsor, and for your generosity in offering wine, a
venue, and donations for pledge drive.
Please send fliers and any social media graphics at least a week ahead, so
we can pass them out to DJs and make posts. Many of our DJs record ahead of
time, so if they’re going to announce on air, we need the details well in
advance.
If you can send me a flyer with all acts booked so far, I can send that out
right away.
I really hope to come visit soon, and also see some of these concerts!
Best,
Marisa

Hi Everyone,
Nice to virtually meet you. As Manuel said, we would love to donate some
wine and/or our space for any type of fundraiser you need. Please let me
know when you would like to come out and see our space and if you have
time, taste some wines! We are very excited about this concert series and
hopefully making our Tin City venue not just an awesome place for live
music, but also a space to give back and support our community. Feel free
to call or text me on my cell, (805) 550-9920 or email if that is easier
for you. Looking forward to meeting you all in person!
Sincerely,
Riley Roddick

Hey Everyone,
Thanks so much! We could not be more excited to kick off this series, as
well as partner with KCBX moving forward. As for sponsorship, all we simply
ask for is the use of KCBX logo on printed material so that we can place
posters and flyers at the station for casual mention by on air djs. We also
would like to help KCBX with possible fundraiser events at this very unique
venue. Since the concerts are free to the public, underwriting is currently
not possible, however we believe we can work to support the station in
other ways, such as offering the venue/outdoor space for a variety of
fundraising events. We hope you'll be able to come to Tin City to see the
venue yourself to explore the possibility. Additionally, please let us know
if you need any donations from Hubba Winery or Traffic Records for
pledge drive. We are completely at your service and would love to
contribute.
As a former KCBX on-air DJ, I continue to feel a profound connection to the
station and hope to return someday. I am very grateful for my time as a
KCBX DJ and please know we will only ever represent KCBX in nothing short
of a professional and reverent manner.
Thank you again everyone. Riley, did I forget to address anything? Frank
and Greg, let us know if/when you'd like to come see the space.
I hope this finds you all well and thank you very much.
Respectfully,
Manuel Barba

Hi Manuel! And good to meet you, Riley. I look forward to meeting you in
person and checking out Hubba Winery sometime. Sorry for the delay in
getting back to you, Manuel. We’re in Live Oak and Pledge Drive mode. I’m
so glad you reached back. That’s a fun lineup you have so far.
I’m copying Greg Perry and Frank Lanzone, because they’ll want to know
details about what you need from us as our part of a sponsorship. If you
just want social media sharing and on air announcements on our music shows
by the DJs, when they can fit it in, that’s easy. If you’re wanting
underwriting spots, Greg can work with you on value, and what you can give
in return for spots. Can you lay out what you’re looking for from us?
It would be great if Greg and Frank could come check out the venue for KCBX
events.
Best,
Marisa

Marisa and Neal,
Masrisa I wanted to follow up on our phone conversation from the other week
regarding our upcoming concert series at Hubba Winery in Tin City. I wanted
to formally introduce you to Riley Roddick, the owner, operator and
winemaker extraordinaire at Hubba. Thanks for being willing to partner with
us on getting the word out and co-branding this series along with Traffic
Records. We are elated to kick this off April 8th beginning at 6pm. We
believe this Friday series will become a staple of North County and we are
looking forward to showcasing this virtually unknown, outdoor venue to you
and the community. Marisa, can we schedule a time for you and your team to
come see it? As discussed, because of your generosity and support, the
venue can also be available to KCBX for any variety of fundraiser(s) either
for the station directly or for Live Oak. Riley will also make sure to
have a little wine set aside for pledge drive. We really want this to
become a partnership and are looking forward to supporting the station in a
show of reciprocity.
Here's the calendar we have booked so far.
The SLO County Stumblers will kick off 4/8 6pm
The Charities 4/15 6pm
Dante Marsh 4/22 6pm
Turkey Buzzards 4/29pm
Shows are free with a suggested $5 donation and are of course all
ages/family friendly. Currently Hubba is almost finished on their outdoor
pizza oven/kitchen so food will also be available for purchase.
We are looking at May and have tentatively booked Tropo and Guitar Circus
with a Grateful Dead Tribute. I need to reach out to some electric jazz
musicians and of course am very happy to include any artists you recommend.
Will you please send along the most updated logo in jpeg and transparent
png/pdf form?
Mine are attached in case anyone here needs them.
Riley, do you have anything to add?
Thanks again everyone and I hope this finds you all well. Please know that
Traffic Records is always at your service.
Warmly,
Manuel Barba
