Hi all,

I’m happy for Lauren, and sad for us as I announce her departure from KCBX
to a full-time digital producer job at ABC 10 in Sacramento. Lauren came on
board in February when we needed an interim news director after Greta was
gone and we had yet to hire Ben.

At the time, she was still in school at Cal Poly, where she was news
director at KCPR and digital director at Mustang News. Lauren managed to
finish school with honors and lead our newsroom simultaneously—filling our
newscasts daily and ensuring we stayed on track to fulfill our news grants
with regular feature stories. She then transitioned to news manager at
KCBX—supporting Ben, reporting daily, and managing our interns. We were
lucky to have her for a short time, and ABC 10 is lucky to be getting her.

I have no doubt that Lauren will excel wherever her career path takes her.
Please join me in wishing her all the best as she embarks on this new
adventure!
