I am searching Cranston James born 1785 co Monaghan to John Cranston b 1759 at? And Mary Moore.. they came as a family to America Aug 1802 in New Castle Del. Settled Abt 1807 in Guernsey co Ohio. It is thought that John b 1759 is the son of Rev John Cranston D 1800 At. Aghabog co Monaghan. Who it is thought was md to Sarah Stewart...the Rev John was the nephew of Arch Devan John Cranston who died ca 1762 a t Tedavent. Monaghan. My brick wall is I have no proof that John b 1759 was son of Rev John b 1721 ish... Died 1800 co Monaghan. help any ideas? There is will in which Rev John mentions "son John..also had a son Andrew" But can't prove the John who came America 1892 is the same John. I find that the the arch Devan John Cranston died 1762 was the son of William Cranston County Tyrone. The arch Devan was a uncle to Rev John. I have no idea where to search next.
