"less than optimal" is being VERY generous! the bleachers, I believe,
were designed (sized) for middle school children
to say nothing of the silly track.. with all their money, oh SO SAD!

we were getting so worn out from the Eustis meet the last few years
we have headed straight for DeLand hotel and skipped the fine Volusia 1/2 miles action :(

Glad you said what I wanted to say, it's worse than sad, municipal stadium wasn't much of a track but at least it was a decent facility. When you think of some of the other races these pro guys go to such as Springfield, Indy miles, then Lima, Hagerstown 1/2 miles, heck even the TT facility the y use at Springfield is better than the field they plowed over and call a track at the Speedway, it's not sad it's almost criminal. Rant Over. I f you have never been to a flat track race wander over to the race on Sunday at Barberville, I can even clue you in on a route with turns to get there. - Gene
