Hi all,

A graphic artist who’s helping us with Live Oak artwork is Ukrainian, and I
thought I’d pass along her note below, along with some posters you can
print and put in a window somewhere, if you are so moved.

Hello Marisa, I'm very happy to hear from you and be part of the team..Yes,
the news of Ukraine has me rather devastated. I am Ukrainian. I have family
there. My son is a 1st generation American. I have been in contact with
people who have been speaking with their family there until Putin stopped
all of the internet and cell service.

One family with small children hiding in their basement, and grabbed food
and fled in their car with bombing around them for a drive 6 hours away to
a cottage. Now they are hiding not sure what to do. Another friend who
speaks Russian and  Ukrainian watched two different News shows. The Russian
one shared that they were on a "Peace-Keeping Mission" to Ukraine to arrest
and kill all of the Ukrainain Nazis. There aren't any to my knowledge. They
also said that children were starving in the USA and that they were so poor
that none had toys for Christmas.

As we can see many of the Russian people don't buy that load of $@%.
Hundreds were arrested in Moscow and St. Petersburg for Treason due to
marching in the protests of War in Ukraine. Sanctions and war jets won't
fix this. Putin has 6000 Nuclear missiles. That could wipe out an entire
species. That's all he has to do.

Irregardless of us threatening him with the same. No one wants this war for
all of the right reasons. But my people are suffering. I'm so overwhelmed
with grief I cannot stop crying long enough to catch my breath. I was
invited to a march in Los Angeles. But I don't think I have the energy to
go there and back in one day. I made posters instead. After I made the map.
I've included the files here if someone chooses to have them printed for
businesses and shop windows. There are two that have bad language..(Fuck
Putin, and Go Fuck yourself - as said by the 13 Guards on Snake Island
before they were killed by Russian warship).

My Ukrainian friend from College in Toronto, Canada said when I asked him
what I could do? He said, share with people about Ukraine. Tell them about
it, educate them. So I have been on FB and phone calls. Just so they know
how important Ukraine is. There is so much to know and share.. I'm one of
those odd people that doesn't need an alarm clock and gets up at 5 am. But
because of all of this angst, I'm up at 12:46 am still wondering what's
left to do for these Ukrainians. They are good people. They want peace and
freedom. They will never have it with Putin.

I can share more another day, but I need to try and sleep.

Very best wishes to you,

Annie
