Why not? I have really enjoyed Rossi over the years I've been following
MotoGP, but I am quite okay with his retiring. And, Dovi on a Yamaha?
Again, why not? Maybe that's just what he needs. I am enjoying the racing
now, and look forward to when we can go watch them in person. Next season?

Laughing because I just read a Spanish website that literally said this - “ If he does not change his plans, The Doctor will announce another year with Yamaha at Petronas, with official material, after the race on September 20.”
So as usual VR has everyone doing back flips. The plot though, has considerably thickened with Dovi walking away from Ducati.
Worth mentioning is that what Dovi’s rep said was that he would be “staying in the paddock”. So in my mind that opens the door to solve another problem I believe MotoGP has which is this- safety officers need to have a pretty short string to the last time they rode a Modern GP bike and this is not the case with anyone they have now. Even Caprix has been off the bike a decade and he’s the newest person. Dovi is liked and respected and, hard to push around. He would be a great choice for a safety position. Might seem far fetched because he’s still fast but it would be a great fit in my opinion.

I could see Rossi doing one more year and then hanging it up - imagine a
Petronas team with Vale and Dovi???

The problem is the same for every team. While Dovi has shown he sometimes has something for MM he isn’t routinely faster. And since every team is looking for a rider who must beat MM, they are all forced to mine for gold in the lower series. Young riders like Joan Mir are the future.

You’re enjoying it now because MM93 isnt there who wipes the floor with all
of them.
Come on now, ya know it. NoW they’re just all in the same level, hence why
theyre just beatIng each other keeping the championship “open” LOL.
