Yep, I'll second that -- absolutely.  But in any case, it has been a good & exciting season all-in-all, (while, of course, Formula-1 sucks anus also this year).

I'll third that.  It HAS been an exciting season.  Only thing is, while I love that there are so many Ducatis in the field, I wish there were more from the other manufacturers...two more from Honda and Yamaha at the least.  (was a big F1 fan for many, many, years but their suckitude these last several years kept me from watching).

I might be in the minority here, but I think "team orders" has been
completely blown out of proportion.  Racing is a business (sadly, really
fucking sadly), and Ducati doesn't put 8 bikes on the grid just so it can
be a complete free for all.  Honda has the $$$ to do the same (or worse),
and there's many, many ways to win a championship.  Ducati takes what many
would consider an unconventional approach (both in their tactics and
engineering) but the end goal is to win the championship, just like Honda,
just like Yamaha, and just like Suz...oh nevermind.

If we didn't have the level of access to the riders and behind the scenes
during the racers we do now, we likely wouldn't know any of the inner
workings and any team orders would simply be left to speculation.

Well, I might be in the other end of the spectrum, even than others here
perhaps.

I felt disappointed when Benzechi didn't even try to make move for the win.
Luca Marini dutifully in tow.

I can understand Miller to give way to Bagnaia eventually, as they're in
the same garage. Everyone else should be in theory fair game, no matter
what machine.

Just because you out money I the game doesn't mean you should change the
sport.

This is not a Tour the France where big national teams get behind a Peloton
leader. I don't want to see a row of 8 Ducatis trading spots to save tires
then picking up the winner.

I don't remember Honda ever expecting that, say with Sito Pons.
