Dorma and the network would make money off the broadcast, but the businesses in the city of Austin would not, and the city will lose the tax revenue. Millions of dollars are spent on hotel rooms, food and transportation.
Perhaps it would be better in a smaller arena venue like for hockey or basketball on a temporary basis.

I wonder if running a motogp without crowds works given the level or not of
media sales?  are the crowds more trouble than they're worth, or is it a
