If you get the clutch wet the plates will rust together. Pull the clutch
cover. You may have to pull the whole clutch pack out and separate them
with a knife

Subject: Ducati Clutch lever wont squeeze
Hi All,I am hoping you can help me with a problem on my 00 996 SPS where
the clutch lever won't move when I squeeze it.
Here is the background leading up to the problem:1. Determined clutch
slave was leaking when clutch lever was too easily squeezed. .2. Replaced
clutch slave with STM slave. 3. Bled new STM slave but now clutch lever is
hard as a rock and won't budge when squeezed. 4. Pulled off STM slave and
replaced with Oberon slave.5. Bled new Oberon slave but clutch lever is
hard as a rock, just as before, and won't budge when squeezed. 6. Pulled
clutch push rod, lubricated and put back in. Clutch lever still can't be
squeezed.7. When clutch slave is removed from bike, but still attached to
hydraulic lines, clutch slave piston moves freely and lever can be squeezed.
Question: Is my clutch pack frozen? (Duc has been stored in garage for
over a year w/o being run but periodic clutch and brake squeezing are
performed).
Best regards, Larry
