Hi again on air people! I also want to publicly congratulate our freelancer
and former newsroom volunteer Melanie Senn for nabbing a USC fellowship as
a part of their Domestic Violence Impact Reporting Fund. She will be doing
a series for KCBX that will focus on domestic violence among undocumented
women in our area.

Melanie will be working with and receive guidance from Sammy Caiola of WHYY
(and formerly of CapRadio), whose voice you’ve heard on our airwaves many
times.

Double hooray!

Marisa

This is exciting! What an important topic to take on. I look forward to
having the series to air on Morning Edition and on Issues and Ideas.
Congrats Melanie! Carol
