Hello County Tyrone, My Dad's family left Tyrone in 1851 from Glasgow on the Marchioness of Clydesdale. On board were Margaret with two sons, John 3yrs and Joseph 7 months. My Dad's told us that the family was "from Omagh". Recently, I found a McGarvey reference in an obituary from 1911 Philadelphia naming James and Susan McGarvey from Glencheil, County Tyrone. That location may fit the premise I hold. Does someone have a suggestion for further information on McGarvey in Glencheil? Thank you, Lizanne McGarvey Smith

The correct spelling would be Glenchiel...... not eil.
