non-endurance racing doesn't really need tear offs eh?
They should also instruct riders to start the warm up lap with fresh tear
offs and NOT to discard one on the grid just after one freaking lap.

I always wondered how those things don’t cause more incidents. That’s a pretty good size piece of plastic to be laying on the track. It would make sense since he was in the lead and one could have had time to settle on the ground for him to hit. Didn’t Rossi hit a tear off between turns one and two at Indy one year?
