Yeah…
We did some fun stuff.
Gene, not to steal your thunder, but yeah…we did some fun events!
In addition to teh Cycle World Show and Paul Smart release party there was The Italian MotoFest at Sheperdstown, Butler’s Orchard, Summit point with Ferrari of Washington, brought Doug Polen to a track event. And of course, supporting DOC events at VIR!
Here’s Doug and Matt Ross trying to decide if the brakes on Coles bike are up to the task! Cole built a BIG motor.
Cole said "it’s good..forks, mono block callipers…it will stop and turn"
If I recall, they decided it might not be a good thing if Doug threw down Coles Beast, so Matt lent him the 999 instead and had Donnie DucPond Unger check not out first.
And for those of you that have not had the pleasure of seeing Peter’s house, where we all gathered and Paul drooled over the collection.

And here he is with his friend, Henry Hogben (RIP)

Those were some good times, I really enjoyed all the events and all the fine people I met Viki, Rih, Paul, Gary, Danny as well as MAD members and many on this list. I still treasure that gift of meeting so many fine people and friendships. My Monster is still looking good and giving me smiles. Approaching 71 the only thing I've changed is the position of the handlebars. I had them tilted forward all these years, on a trip this past summer of 600+ miles my neck was bothering me, so I've moved them back to the stock position, much better.

Ryan,
I was (apparently not-so-obviously) referencing the celebrities we hosted.. Paul Smart and Gary Eagan, shortly after he did his long-distance ride on the Multi coinciding with the Sport Classic release at the DC Cycle Show.
Went to an after-party at Peter Calles’ ‘museum’.
Of course, the rest of you are good people with some fun activities.
😁
And if folks browse in those links, they will see Gene’s beloved beautiful, award-winning Monster, that was also present at the show.
And Mike Wheeler and others.. Charlie.
Yeah, Kevin.. I’m a moderately fair weather rider.
My rules are:
If it’s below freezing, maybe, with gear.
Add any precipitation: no.
If I have to make sure the studs are installed in my tires.. hell no!
😳
If it’s above freezing and no precipitation forecast, let’s go, with gear. If we hit rain, so be it.
If it’s warm and already raining: probably not, even with gear, unless we’re going to ride out of it shortly.
Vicki and others in FL, can see the clouds and navigate around the daily storms.
🤪
In the metro DC area, there hasn't been much snow and the temps haven’t been consistently terrible, yet.
