Fortunately for me all I bought was lot A parking pass because I never really believed it would happen. Not because DORNA couldn’t fly here and run a race safely, but because they didn’t seem to be aware the date was during Austin City Limits so the minute the teams all head out down crowded sidewalks to dinner the rest of the season racing goes into the trash. Plus if reports are true Austin hospitals are close to Code Black right now, with 6 available ICU beds in a city of 2.2 million, so it might be a problem in the case of medical attention as well. By October who knows but it’s not a decision DORNA can wait and see on. Brian, Barbers Festival is the next weekend if you are looking for a replacement…. We've had a deposit on account with Pole Position Travel since early 2020. Originally it was for the Brno race. That was cancelled. We rolled it to the Austrian race (this weekend), but travel restrictions and limited attendance nixed that for us. When Austin was put back in the schedule, we thought we were good. Svet and I are both vaccinated, the race is in the US so no international travel involved. Oh well. More emails to Pole Position.
