Wait!,    Wasn't Nakagami just 2nd fastest @ the Test? Alex Marquez is kinda an inside joke & Crutchlow's injured. To say the Honda is lacking seems a stretch. On the other hand to say their Karma is showing is a tribute to Nicky Hayden though not the contraption Honda provided him for MotoGP. That Honda is plenty capable but all them apples are, figuratively, in MM's sack.    Phil/NJ

Does anyone think Phil and Lan are one and the same person?  No?  Just me?
OK then.  ;-)

A test means next to nothing - race results are where it's at, and nobody
is riding the Honda well (although Taka has been impressive, but he's
reportedly on the 2019 bike).  Cal's injuries are from years of trying to
ride the Honda well, and he's been pretty vocal about it.

Gosh, not that you mention it, I've never seen Lan and Phil in the same
place at the same time.

Let me recall one of my favs, Dani Pedrosa (who, BTW, was forgiven years
ago by both Nicky and myself for taking Nicky out and risking his
championship). As a rider too small and light to even ride a MotoGP bike,
he managed to ride the Honda to a pretty successful career. He did not push
it to the edge like MM does, which is understandable, considering how badly
the bike beat him up when he did. I still wonder how he would have made out
on another bike.

And, speaking of Nicky, I was filling the lack of racing by watching old
classic races. I got to see him race and speak, and remember what a
sportsman and gentleman he was. And, he could ride the Honda. Still missed.
