I've not had good luck with posting No Spoilers, so I thought I would
preempt it this time.
An exciting race, and monumental in a few ways. I was very sorry to see
Pecco crash when he did, after riding so brilliantly. This also robs us
fans of another last lap battle between him and a now more fit Marquez,
not to mention taking the championship for at least one more race. Sucks
for Ducati, to look so strong going in and then to lose both their front
runners (wrong front tires?).
Also, it was a sign of the times that three riders who we used to see
battling at the front, Ross, Dovi and Viñales, were all battling somewhere
back around 15-17th position. An okay finish for Rossi at his home circuit
farewell.
Great job by Fabio. He did exactly what he needed to do. especially not
binning the bike trying to keep Bastianini from taking third place.
Congratulations to the first ever French MotoGP World Champion. I just
found out Fabio is from Andorra, so we're neighbors, more or less.
I'm expecting more excitement for the next two races, and what could be a
stunning 2022 season.
