We have two people dead in my back yard in the Seattle area. Word is the
COVID 19 has been in our midst for six weeks and we didn't know it. Whole
retirement homes are showing up infected. Everything is moving into sort of
a panic response.

I?m dumbfounded that the coronavirus has necessitated the cancellation of
next week?s Motogp race. Could never have imagined that the effect of this
could reach something like our sport, although I now believe that if this
event has been cancelled, nothing is off limits moving forward in terms of
other things that will be cancelled/closed, etc. Still running Moto2 and 3,
though.... sucks

Are you really that surprised? There?s a travel advisory on Italy. Only way
it could be more disruptive would be if it was Spain AND Italy.
I just called my brother to check the cancellation policy on a motor coach
he rented for Sebring. It?s two international race series this year at
Sebring. I don?t see how they will be able to do it. National events maybe.
International events, those get complicated when the quarantine is 2 weeks.

Yea, I guess it?s not unexpected. I was in N. Carolina for a family wedding
for the last 3 days-I think I fell into a bit of a ?free from worries" world
outside my normal box for a few days, and came home with a bit of a
wonderfully over optimistic feeling. Not that it isn?t/wasn?t a fantastic
diversion from our crazy world???.. maybe like Pags snowboarding out in
Montana last week??.. ;-)

Okay, here's the thing. What we forget is: considering the incubation
period, the s**t has already hit the fan, you just don't know it yet. Are
there 2 asymptomatic people in your town right now, or is it 20? You won't
know till the first people infected start showing symptoms. By then, how
many other people will they have infected?
For example: as I write this, I am sitting in my room in Valencia Spain. I
have not looked recently, but as far as I know, there are no cases of
COVID-19 here. But, the team and many fans just returned from the football
match (soccer in the USA) in Italy (Milan, I believe, the city with a big
red dot for infection rates). And, over the coming two weeks, we celebrate
las Fallas, which will draw tourists from all over Europe, all crowding
together in public squares to see the festiviites. Yup, petri dish for
viruses. The football fans may provide the viral injection.
As much as I will miss the opener at Qatar (well, actually, I've never liked
the race under floodlights), I get it. Until we get a bit of a handle on
this virus, we need to stop creating mass vectors.
Achoo.

Don't tell anyone about the regular virus--from the CDC--CDC estimates that
so far this season there have been at least 32 million flu illnesses,
310,000 hospitalizations and 18,000 deaths from flu.

Greeting all,
I have had a 97 748 since 1998 and while she has not been trouble free over
the last 40K miles she does always start..But not today..She did run back in
November when I did the oil and filter.
The battery is good and she does prime when I it click it to start. I
changed the relays under the seat any way As I had them and they have failed
in the past. I also put in fresh plugs just in case.
The main and starter fuses are good but WTH I changed them any way.
Fuel lines are tight and secure under the tank and the battery connections
are clean and tight.
I though I would ask for ideas of things to check as the only other thing I
can think of is the hall effect sensor spacing..I have not check that yet
though..
Any other ideas? The bike cranks but will not pop or bang even with ether
starter fluid witch leave me to think it may be an ignition issue.
Many thanks for your input..
Eric

Meh...We simply don?t know enough about THIS virus so I applaud preventative
measures.
