Hi everyone, I wanted to announce officially that I’m leaving the news director position at KCBX. I’m looking to move back to reporting, my first love. I don’t have an end date at the moment — Marisa, Frank and I have decided I’ll leave when I get a new job or they hire a new news director, whichever comes first. So you’ll still be seeing me around for a while. I want to take a moment to thank everyone for your support, camaraderie and dedication to the public radio mission. It’s been an honor to work at a station like this with so many great people. I’ve learned and grown immeasurably in this position and will carry all of that with me moving forward. As you may know, I’m getting married and moving to Santa Maria, so I won’t be too far. Marisa has also kindly extended an offer to do freelance reporting for KCBX, so I will likely still be on the KCBX airwaves even after I’ve moved on.
