Yes sir..Bob and Vicki…and Brent..
And here are both of the Danish crew…from 2003.

I also touched pavement on the ride back…with the other Dane. (Not Dutch)
Early morning headed down through Belluno.
Cold morning tires and road…early traffic… excessive speed for conditions..blind narrow right-hander…StOPpeD trAFFIC!
Locked front brake…the ST2 went down.
I earned a respect for EU medical coverage that day. And I got a ticket for an accident.
Caribenieri logic: you crashed. Nobody obvious to blame. You did something wrong.
Couldn’t argue that.
Nils fared worse. Ruined an ankle when the lorry rode over it.
Great rip other wise, eh Brent?
Here’s Jim and SchoolBus Bob also.

I’m thinking this is the place to share that photo Tom. Those events were pretty epic by todays standards as I recall. You and I and the other early DOC Presidents were treated to some crazy days. :-)

I remember the first one I attended and it may have been the first ever. Maybe 2002?  A1 Ring, Zeltwig Austria maybe, they even let us do some laps on our rental Ducati! =/8^O.  I remember riding around the local forests with two members of the Dutch club.  One was on a 749 the other a Multistrada.  The 749 rider went wide on a downhill right and almost ran into the front of a tractor.  The farmer stopped and he went to the left shoulder to avoid a head on collision and ended up wedged between the rear wheel of the tractor and the side of the hill.  His buddy stopped on the down hill to help and fell getting off his bike.  We spent the next hour and a half trying to fix the bike so Ducati would not know they had been abused.  Fun times for sure.  One guy brought his girlfriend who had just gotten her license a week before the trip.  They ended up putting her bike in the chase van.  He would not let her ride with him because he wanted to ride with the fast group. I am sure that relationship did not last.

Thanks for the photos.  I have forgotten I had dark hair.  =/8^]

That sure was a wild week for sure.  I had heard about the accidents on the
way back.  Bob and I opted to stay a few days longer and rode the Paso
della Futa.

Oh and proof of the accident :-(

I was the last in line of the 4 of us and as I came around the corner all I saw was a lorry rolling over our friend.  I tight it was all over for him.

Thankfully it did not end that way,  Ride Safe everyone!
